1. A “Welcome to Medicare” Preventative Visit
During the first 12 months of your Medicare Part B plan, you are eligible for a welcome visit. During this one-time visit, there will be a review of your medical history, certain screenings and shots, measurements of vital signs, a vision test, and more.
2. Annual Wellness Visit
The welcome visit is for your first year, then after that, you can take advantage of a yearly wellness visit with your physician. The visit will involve measuring your vital signs and review your medical history and medications. While this visit is free, your doctor might order extra texts or procedures that you will have to pay a deductible for or copay.
3. Mammogram
Every year, you can a mammogram for free. However, if it’s a diagnostic mammogram that you need, you will pay a 20% copay, as well as the Part B deductible.
