5. Virgin America

While this airline doesn’t directly offer a discount to active military personnel and their dependents or veterans, Virgin America does offer baggage discounts to active duty military and their dependents when traveling.

If flying on orders, military personnel can take up to ten 70-pound bags each, and family and dependents are allowed five free checked-in bags of the same weight. If not flying on order, military personnel can take five checked-in bags for free, that weigh up to 70 pounds, but their family and dependents must pay standard fees of $25 for the first bag, and $100 each if you take 3 or 4 bags. Present your military I.D or Department of Defense orders at check-in to make good of this baggage discount. Family members and dependents must present I.D and their Privilege Card, too.
