Consider these strategies, but don’t expect that you’ll always get a discount out of thin air. Make plans, and always ask for more information. Obviously, if your schedule is flexible and you want to treat yourself with a spontaneous trip “IF there’s a discount”, then we highly recommend taking your chances. Be patient and wait ‘till the sail date gets closer and prices drop lower.

Remember that not all empty cabins have to be filled. If you’re doing a mock booking and notice just a few spare slots, don’t expect a flash sale. Sometimes, a cruise ship can reach its double-occupancy even with some leftover space. Take some time to go through a few different cruise lines and we’re sure you’ll find a cheap option!
